On Friday, November 30th, Wagner’s romantic masterpiece
Tristan und Isolde will be sung in concert at 6:30 pm at Opera America’s Mark Scorca Hall (330 Seventh Avenue).
It will be conducted by the esteemed maestro, David Gilbert, of the Greenwich Symphony, the New York Philharmonic, and Wagner’s own opera house in Bayreuth, Germany.
William Hobbs is an outstanding pianist (Opéra National de Paris, the Salzburg Festival, San Francisco Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, etc.) who has assisted conductors such as Claudio Abbado and Sir Charles Mackerras. The consultant for this production is well-known manager and vocal pedagogue, Peter Randsman.
