Sunday, July 19 at 3 PM: The Wagner Societies of Northern and Southern California are jointly presenting a lecture by Desiree Mays, a longtime lecturer for the Santa Fe Opera. Ms. Mays will be speaking on The Wagner Dynasty (register here).
July 30, August 4 and August 6 at 3 PM: The Boston Wagner Institute at the New England Conservatory is offering a Summer Discussion Series, led by Jane Eaglen, with a focus on Wagner in performance. Each discussion session will be approximately 90 minutes in length, and the number of Zoom participants will be limited to allow for conversation. Tuition for the series is $60. The Wagner Society of New York presented its virtual Seminar on Der fliegende Holländer in two Sessions, June 29 and July 1, with a diverse mix that covered many important aspects of the work: music, history, and production design, plus an interview with two cast members of the recent Met production.
