How to Apply

Application for ticket requests opened on Sunday, February 23 at 12:00 noon EST and closed on Sunday, March 2 at 12:00 noon EST. The application period has closed and applications are no longer being accepted. Application required the payment of a $50 application fee per ticket request, payable online via credit card. Once members successfully applied and paid the $50 fee, they received an automated email indicating that the request had been received. Your application fee guaranteed that a request will be made on your behalf but does not guarantee tickets, as this will depend upon what is allocated to WSNY by the box office. Ticket fulfillment will be made by WSNY in order of receipt of request and availability of inventory. In case tickets are not available, your application fee will be refunded in due course. The application fee will be credited against your balance due for any tickets allocated to you.

Allocation & Payment

Allocations are expected to begin in early May 2025. Once WSNY’s ticket contingent has been received, if your request is able to be fulfilled, you will be invoiced and will have 7 days to make the balance payment via credit card. Failure to pay will result in your ticket(s) being allocated to the next member in line. If a ticket allocation is made the application fee will not be refunded, regardless of whether tickets are paid for. Please note that The Wagner Society of New York will invoice the tickets at the EUR-USD exchange rate to which it is subject at the time of purchase on your behalf, and will add a 15% contribution portion to the total ticket price. All sales are final.

Fulfillment

Tickets will be emailed around mid-May 2025 as PDF print-at-home E-Tickets.

The Wagner Society of New York is not able to assist with transportation, lodging, or other travel arrangements.

TEATRO ALLA SCALA

After ten years, Teatro alla Scala presents a new production of Richard Wagner’s Der Ring des Nibelungen.

The direction is entrusted to David McVicar, internationally acknowledged among the most appreciated opera directors of our time and who has already staged a broad repertoire of titles at La Scala, ranging from Cavalli to Berlioz, Cilea, and Verdi.

The vocal cast offers important Wagnerian voices such as Michael Volle, performing as Wotan in the whole cycle, Camilla Nylund as Brünnhilde and Klaus Florian Vogt as both Siegmund and Siegfried.

From the beginning of March 2026, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the its absolute Premiere in 1876, the whole Tetralogy will return for two full cycles, each within a week, as Richard Wagner intended.
