About

Our Mission

Founded in 1977, the Wagner Society of New York is a not-for-profit organization chartered in New York State for the purpose of furthering the appreciation and performance of the works of Richard Wagner.

We are among 130 members of Richard-Wagner-Verband International e.V., and are a sister society of Richard-Wagner-Verband-Leipzig. The Society maintains a broad range of international contacts.

Donate

Thank you for supporting the Wagner Society of New York. Your generous donation will enable us to continue to support promising young singers and to bring high-quality programs and benefits to members, students and the general public. These offerings require a substantial commitment of time and financial resources; your gift will help us continue our mission of furthering the appreciation and performance of the works of Richard Wagner.

Annual Report

The Wagner Society of New York seeks a relationship with its members, donors and friends marked by transparency and informative communication. To this end we have prepared an Annual Report for the 2022-23 season that describes our organizational, artistic and financial activities. We hope that you find it edifying and that you will maintain, and enhance, your connection with the Society.

Committees

The work of the Society is substantially performed by various committees appointed by the Board of Directors.
