It is of the utmost importance to Wagner Society of New York (WSNY) to protect the privacy rights of all visitors to our website and donors to our organization. Wagner Society of New York is based in the United States. If you voluntarily submit personal information to us while located or residing in a country outside the United States, you understand that you are voluntarily agreeing to the use and processing of such information as provided in this Privacy Policy, including transfer of your information to the United States, a jurisdiction which may not offer the same framework for the protection of personal information as the jurisdiction in which you are located.


Our goal is to provide our website visitors with information about our organization in a straightforward manner. Visitors are not required to register to access any part of our site.


We may use information that has been aggregated and anonymized or de-identified to assess and improve the WSNY website, including to enhance your user experience. We may sometimes produce data and analysis results with this aggregated or anonymized information, which will not include any personal information, and share it with third parties, to help us improve our communications and website.

WSNY complies with applicable laws and standard practices and uses industry standard protocols, which makes it extremely difficult for anyone to intercept your information. When processing an online transaction, such as a new/renewing membership, event registration or other purchase, we ask for your name, mailing address, phone number, e-mail and credit card information. All information is stored in a secure location and is protected. We ask for personally identifiable details only to process and acknowledge your transaction and as a means of contacting you if there are any problems.

WSNY also uses the services of an outside vendor who processes credit card transactions online. Our vendor has certified to us that they adhere to the strictest standards of privacy and is SSL-Certified.


WSNY sends occasional e-mail updates and program information to the e-mail address you provided as part of your new or renewal membership form. Occasionally, WSNY will exchange names with other Wagner Societies, or musical or cultural organizations, for the purpose of sharing information with our members that may be of interest to them. All donors have the option to request that their names not be shared with third party organizations. We do not sell the names of our members to any organization whatsoever.


WSNY provides links on its website to other organizations as an educational tool for those interested in the music and life of Richard Wagner. These websites are not under our control, nor are we responsible for any content on these sites. The inclusion of a link does not indicate any express or implied endorsement by WSNY of these third-party websites.
